Our Engineering Team Our software engineering teams owns the code that runs our business. We maintain many different codebases - from the APIs, services and, third-party integrations that handle subscriptions, billing, shipping, and notifications to our customer support dashboard.

We work in Scrum teams, including daily standup meetings, backlog grooming, planning, review and retrospective meetings. Engineering teams are responsible for developing, testing, reviewing, and deploying their own code. We value attention to detail to provide an exceptional customer experience and strive for open and honest communication.

Role As a Software Engineer for Internal Applications, you will work as an integral team member to build high quality software for our internal customers. This role is backend focused meaning you should be comfortable implementing API endpoints, queues, eventing, authentication, and database design.

The right candidate exhibits a natural problem-solving curiosity and possess strong critical thinking skills. They value working on a team and helping each other reach our collective goals. Since code is a tool for meeting business objectives, they should be able to think through the impact their work and behaviors has on end customers while focusing on driving the highest value.

Experience Working on our Internal Applications team, you will collaborate with our Product, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Food Safety, Customer Support, Corporate Sales, and Engineering teams to quickly iterate on new experiments.

Engineers in this role are expected to take well-defined tasks and complete them with little supervision, relentlessly following best practices, and understanding when to ask for help to prevent being blocked. They own small-to-medium size features all the way from design to launch. They are capable of prioritizing their work to make continual forward progress, avoiding the temptation to over optimize or focus on unimportant details. They communicate well and can deliver feedback to peers, primarily in code review and retrospectives, and their managers.

Experience with eCommerce order management, payment processing, and logistics is highly desired. We primarily code in Laravel, Go, MySQL, React and TypeScript.
