Full Stack TypeScript Engineer at Glama

Glama develops and maintains the core infrastructure of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) ecosystem, empowering developers and organizations to build, deploy, and scale MCP services.

What we do

  • Operate the largest free, public directory of MCP servers with open API access.

  • Host private MCP server instances for over 30,000 active users.

  • Build open-source frameworks and tools, like FastMCP, mcp-proxy, and mcp-client.

  • Maintain a gateway that connects users to LLMs from Anthropic, OpenAI, Grok, and others.

  • Provide a ChatGPT-like MCP client that lets users access different LLMs.

  • Run the two largest MCP communities on Reddit and Discord.

Role

You will be Glama's first full-time engineer. Until now, everything has been bootstrapped by the founder.

You'll help design, build, and scale products and infrastructure used by thousands every day.

What you'll work on

  • Improve and expand the MCP server directory, gateway, and hosting systems.

  • Design backend infrastructure for MCP server discovery, deployment, authentication, and observability.

  • Build APIs, SDKs, and frontend interfaces for developers and end users.

  • Contribute to and maintain open-source MCP tools and frameworks.

  • Support and engage with developer communities on Reddit, Discord, and other platforms.

What we are looking for

  • Advanced skills in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

  • Willingness to develop deep expertise in the Model Context Protocol ecosystem and stay current with ongoing advancements.

  • Ability to recognize and articulate technical challenges within MCP systems, and actively contribute ideas and solutions to our product roadmap.

Interview process

This is a remote position, but will require up to 8 weeks per year of in-person coworking sessions in major U.S. cities such as San Francisco and Austin.
