Coding Administrative Assistant - REMOTE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains Coder requests and Op note requests queues.
• Sends requested information to Hospital/ASC sites while abiding by HIPPA constraints.
• Prints and uploads records to billing system.
• Emails Providers for documentation deficiencies, with clear and concise verbiage.
• Applies for online access to Hospital EMR.
• Faxing requests/information to correct counterpart.
• Scans correspondence into patient accounts and links images.
• Other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 0-2 years of experience in same/related field
• CPC-A or CPC, preferred but not required
• Understanding of Medical terminology
• Upholds patient confidentiality
• Ability to understand and work in multiple systems
• Basic understanding of how to read Medical records
• Must be self motivated in a high paced production environment
• Skill in verbal and written communication
• Skill in gathering and reporting information
• Knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems
• Must have a pleasant disposition and be a team player
