Context:

Bitwave is an enterprise software and services company with the mission of bringing digital assets to enterprises.

Software Platform:

We’ve built an enterprise software platform that enables enterprises to meet their digital asset/cryptocurrency specific accounting, tax, treasury, and management obligations. In most situations our platform is a subledger processing millions of digital asset transactions and producing accounting and tax reporting that integrate with our client’s ERP. We also deliver solutions based on the diverse set of capabilities our platform offers to enable different use cases and situations our clients encounter.

Our platform and solutions are delivered to more than 200 clients today.

Desired Experiences and Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate that uniquely combines (a) tech/software and digital asset experience (b) deep analytical and problem solving skills (c) the ability to work in a fast paced environment with constantly changing functions

Core Functional Experiences:

  • Background in Digital Assets or Blockchain Technology
  • Intermediate to advanced level of experience with various kinds of analysis
  • Interest and/or Basic Level of experience with NFTs and DeFi

Technical Solutions Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Debugging various issues, ranging from blockchains to accounting and everything in between
  • Utilizing tools like Postman to work with diverse APIs
  • Collaborating with Solutions and Engineering teams to accomplish various tasks
  • Experience working in Jira ticketing processes across multiple teams
  • Documenting technical components and processes in Confluence
  • Analyzing complex digital assets problems and developing technical solutions
  • Defining and tracking metrics for the Solutions and Engineering teams
  • Handling modifications of sensitive data as required
  • Clearly communicating and providing analysis through write-ups on new features and current bugs
  • Understanding customer needs and pain points from a technical perspective and devising appropriate approaches
  • Working with Google Cloud Services to identify errors in a range of logs and writing various queries and lighter code fixes
  • Understanding intricate issues and effectively explaining them to customers during ad hoc calls conducted by the Solutions team
  • Operating in lower environments to execute small scripts and validate bug fixes or feature enhancements
  • Evaluating technical trade-offs when balancing multiple high-priority items
  • Understanding the use of Gitlab to push MRs alongside engineering
  • Communicating technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and customers
  • Knowledge of Vue or prior front end work is a plus

Other Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Technical Program Management
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Javascript/Typescript
  • Strong analytical mindset and proven ability to translate data into creative actionable insights as well as the knowledge to reproduce issues
  • Experience working through a large variety of bugs in complex products with the vision of short term and long term trade-off solutions as needed
  • Excellent organizational and cross-functional execution skills
  • Demonstrated success and a desire to work in a tech start-up environment
  • Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and adapt in an unstructured environment
  • Knowledge of Finance and/or Accounting is a plus
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced graduate degree with a core focus in computer science is a plus
  • Experience in the fintech or crypto industry is required; strong crypto and DeFi knowledge is a plus
  • Smart contract knowledge is a plus
  • Familiarity with big query preferred
