Remote Team Since 2017:

Aux has been a remote-first company since its inception meaning the team often travels while working. Unlike many companies, they offer a home office budget, weekly remote socials and bi-annual team meet-ups around Europe to work together on big projects and get to know each other.

Job Overview:

Aux is seeking an experienced Javascript Developer to join their team on a remote contract basis for an initial term of 6 months with a view to growing the role into a tech lead position. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of React, Typescript and Electron and be willing to jump in and continuously improve an established codebase. Nice-to-have skills include experience with PyTorch or Tensorflow and an interest in AI.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the founder and another developer to design and implement new features and enhancements to our collaboration tool

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using React, Typescript, and other relevant technologies

• Optimize application performance and scalability

• Debug issues and fix bugs reported by users

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the Javascript ecosystem

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in React development

• Experience with Typescript, unit and E2E testing

• Strong understanding of software development principles and design patterns

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

• Ability to work independently in a remote working environment

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with PyTorch or Tensorflow and interest in generative AI algorithms

• Experience with Git, Node.js, Redux, and/or GraphQL technologies

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Salary and Equity:

Salary is £50-65K dependent on experience with equity available.
