Why we're hiring:

In this role you will be a member of the Workday Services Team leading our Workday security support, your role will grow as we further deploy and expand our Workday coverage both geographically and capability.

Reporting to the Workday Services Platform Manager this role is accountable for ensuring that WPP’s Workday security is architected, controlled, modified, and provisioned as per our operating procedures and controls.

This is an exciting and varied role working with the wider Workday Services team and our AMS partner to provide a world class level of Workday support and development on a day-to-day basis and in support of Workday project deployments.

The new Workday Services team provides the post go-live support, maintenance and enhancement of the Workday solution that replaces some of our core technology and influences our ways of working for many of our colleagues at WPP.

This flagship programme will see Workday deployed across our global landscape to address the technology needs of HCM, Finance, Projects (PSA) functions – so essentially it touches all of our employees to some degree. The key to this programme is that technology is an enabler for change, it’s at the heart of what we do, but it’s not all of what we do. The people aspects of this programme are vital to its success. This role will help deliver that success on an ongoing basis for many years to come.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Workday Security model design and architecture ownership across HCM, FINS and PSA
  • Lead security design changes and implementation post go-live including 3rd party systems that use Workday security roles (e.g. Zimit)
  • Test of security design changes including planning and executing tests
  • Provide consultation for the rest of the Workday Services team to discuss security implications of proposed changes
  • Ensure Workday platform is designed, maintained, and operated in line with the WPP Data Privacy and Security Charter & General Computer Controls
  • Work closely with the Head of SSC and Program team to manage and maintain the SOD model
  • Develop and deploy security/access management governance and practices for Workday which manage risk to an acceptable level and are scalable
  • Oversee user access provisioning processes (JML) (supported by our AMS Partner and in co-ordination with HR, SSC, and Workday Functional SME’s)
  • Provide input into the future operating model of user access management within the Workday Services team
  • Hypercare support planning to address common issues at go-lives such as segmented security with an expedited process
  • Accountable for maintaining Workday security and associated process documentation
  • Champion recommendations for continuous improvement

 

What you'll need:

  • Exceptional knowledge of Workday HCM, and/or Fins or PSA security configuration and user access management
  • Experience with identify and access management risks, concepts and controls
  • Experience working in a global Workday deployment environment
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Develop trusted relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong risk awareness skills and management of risk
  • Creative solutioning and strong problem-solving skills with agility for fast and simple solutions
  • Credibility, professionalism, and strong personal integrity
  • Ability to mentor new team members from wide and varied backgrounds
