Business Development Representative (BDR)

As a member of the BrightInsight Marketing team the Business Development Representative (BDR) will focus on generating opportunities for the sales team at qualified Biopharma and Medtech companies. The BDR will employ email campaigns, various lead follow-up strategies and event promotion in order to meet the team's quarterly goals. 

Reporting into the Demand Generation team within the Marketing department the BDR’s primary responsibilities will be:

  • Use various prospecting strategies to lead initial outreach to prospects
  • Inbound lead research and follow up (little to no cold calling)
  • Meeting coordination, setup and rescheduling
  • Creating and running marketing campaigns to re-engage previous leads and former opportunities
  • Events Demand Generation
    • Manage and follow up on all replies from campaign/event outreach 
  • Assist on Hubspot and SalesForce data collection and cleanliness
  • Assist with Hubspot/Marketing ops
  • Research and identify target opportunities for marketing campaigns


Required qualifications:

  • Creative thinker, writer, listener with good interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role
  • Knowledge of business processes and organizational structures
  • Interest in healthcare and digital health
  • 1-3 years of professional experience
  • [B.A., B.S.] Degree

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience reaching or exceeding [weekly/monthly] activity goals/quotas
  • Familiarity with Hubspot (or similar), Excel and Salesforce 
  • Understanding of biopharma and/or medical device space.
