Our digital audience has tripled in size over the past few years and our newsletters reach over 750,000 readers. We are looking for a Newsletter Producer to support audience growth efforts across social platforms.  Successful candidates will be proactive and detailed with strong creative and analytical skills. This role will be part of AFAR’s Audience Development team and is a great opportunity to gain email and content strategy skills for a fast-growing travel media brand. Primary Responsibilities: Develop new ideas based on competitive email trends and the behavior of AFAR’s audience Participate in regular brainstorming sessions to optimize campaign performance and newsletter template Manage all of AFAR’s newsletter lists and segments, representing the best interests of readers and partners and ensuring we are meeting their needs, while helping the marketing team execute on partner campaigns. Manage, build and optimize copy for all paid and organic editorial email campaigns Collect assets, manage and build all sponsored email campaigns. Liaise with the marketing team to maintain an asset collection schedule for sponsored emails. Support growth acquisition efforts such as sweepstakes, email prompt testing, referral rewards program, and partnerships. Collect and document sponsored email data/results.  Data collection and reporting on best practices for all email campaigns. Monitor reader feedback. You will be successful here by: Maintaining a close eye on performance and methods to improve our email efforts Working with the Senior Audience Development Manager and various email stakeholders at AFAR to become a leader at cultivating rich and vibrant brand engagement across all campaigns. Being detail-oriented and highly focused on the task at hand, and not being afraid to ask questions or welcome feedback. Bringing fresh and exciting ideas forward that challenge conventional thinking. The right candidate will: Have 1-3 years of experience in digital publishing Be extremely detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative Be interested in learning about content marketing  Have excellent time management skills Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Have a working knowledge of Google Analytics, Photoshop, Canva a plus Be passionate about travel and travel journalism Preferably have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Business, or equivalent experience This is an exempt role with a salary range of $65k-75k
