Affect Therapeutics uses mobile technology to deliver the first evidence-based digital recovery program for stimulant use. Affect combines a member-facing digital therapeutic app and an integrated treatment system to deliver an effective stimulant recovery program at scale. About the role

We are seeking a driven, focused, self-starter for our Care Coordination team who wants to change the way the world treats stimulant addiction. By sharing our values of Empathy, Commitment, Generosity & Authenticity, the Affect team strives to provide the skills to help each member reach sobriety.

The Member Conversion team is responsible for swiftly responding to and connecting interested potential members with the Affect clinical team for assessment. Potential members come to us from a number of different channels, and it’s the role of this team to meet members where they are, and support their success by providing education about our programs, diligent follow-up, scheduling and tech support, and more.

You will:

  • Urgently support a high volume of inquiries and inbound phone calls, text messages, and emails, all from potentially interested members. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of organizational structure and criteria to providers educated answers to clinical questions, identity/assist caller needs, ensure all requests are followed through and completed. 
  • Initiate motivational interviewing techniques to determine each caller's eligibility.
  • Schedule initial intake appointments utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other internally-built software tools.
  • Facilitate seamless member intake; coordinate member no-shows with counselors and other clinical staff.
  • Serve as the Affect liaison for interactions as we treat, engage with, and support our members without prejudice, stigma, or judgment.

About You

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2-year experience in business development or similar roles where targets have been consistently met or exceeded. Behavioral health experience not required, but a plus
  • Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor during all member interactions.
  • Excellent written, presentation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Committed to a high ethical standard in everything you do, working collaboratively with providers, counselors, and other colleagues.
  • Excitement about working at an early-stage company
  • Self-starter with high emotional intelligence 
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a keen interest in technology and its applicability to our space.
  • Must have a quiet, private dedicated home office with a door with reliable internet connection.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
