Technical Product Manager, Content Ingest - (Remote)

This Technical Product Manager will help drive critical technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams. This role will be responsible for creating and executing on roadmaps with a goal of helping content providers interface with Gracenote directly. The TPM will work with a variety of stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Customer Experience, and Content to build out technical requirements and define success metrics. This position is an individual contributor role, and a great opportunity for someone looking to enter into product management. The TPM needs to successfully align colleagues, stakeholders, key executives, and the product team on their vision, and how it enables new growth opportunities for Gracenote.

Role Description Our team seeks someone passionate about data and the TV entertainment industry to join us as a Technical Product Manager. Technical Product Managers act as the bridge between the business and technology, creating and driving the technical roadmaps that support long-term business objectives. This role will focus on supporting the ingest, storage, and eventual delivery of content partner data.

Responsibilities ● Develop strong partnerships with engineering, product management and internal content leaders to drive technical roadmaps that support long-term business objectives. ● Understand relevant engineering domain components, including the architecture, tools and deployment practices used by the development teams ● Articulate the key problems to be solved and then create clear, detailed, and actionable engineering requirements to those problems ● Partner and collaborate with engineering teams to define functional and system requirements for our video metadata ingest platform ● Accountable for driving execution and delivery of technical capabilities that accelerate Gracenote’s ability to ingest, normalize, and deliver

Desired Skills/Experience ● 3+ years of Technical Product Management, Data Science, or Software Engineering experience preferably with a focus on data architecture, business intelligence, relational databases or big-data technology ● Strong math and analytical skills, with working knowledge of SDLC, data engineering, data modeling, data warehousing and big data platforms ● Comfortable with XML, JSON, SQL, and APIs ● Experience working in a distributed Agile/Scrum work environment writing user stories, and following the development process through user story acceptance ● Bachelor’s degree or higher. Computer Science/Engineering major is preferable Preferred Skills/Experience ● Experience in OTT Video or TV broadcast; with a focus on experiences used by digital content consumers ● Development experience with Gracenote, TMS, ROVI, or other structured entertainment metadata providers a plus.
