Welcome to the DNC Internship Application! The DNC is accepting applications for our Spring 2023 Civic Engagement & Voter Protection Internship Program! Interning at the DNC is a unique opportunity for hardworking, passionate future leaders to gain real life, hands-on experience in Democratic politics, strengthen their understanding of the political process, and prepare them for future political opportunities. The program will run from Monday, January 30, 2023 to Friday, April 7, 2023 and can be conducted in-person, hybrid, or remote format. Interns who are based in the Washington D.C. area will have an opportunity to perform in-person work for the DNC at the Democratic National Headquarters and DNC events. You must be located in the United States to apply for this internship. The DNC Internship Program provides a stipend of $3,000. Housing is not provided. During the upcoming term, interns are expected to work 20 hours per week.  The deadline for applications is November 18, 2022. Department Summary: The mission of the Civic Engagement and Voter Protection Department is to ensure every eligible voter can cast a ballot and have that ballot count. We focus on a year-round, long-term approach to expanding voting access and combating voter suppression. This entails research on a variety of voting rights and election administration issues, organizing voter protection related programming and events, including state compliance with federal election laws, redistricting, and legal and legislative developments on the state and national level that affect the right to vote.
