The Opportunity

The mission of CZI Science is to support science and technology that will help make it possible to cure, prevent, or manage all diseases by the end of the century.  To help achieve this mission, the Imaging Program aims to give researchers everywhere the tools to visualize and quantify the biological processes underlying health and disease.

We have identified three strategic pillars to achieve this goal:

Frontiers. We support development of breakthrough technologies to enable imaging across spatial scales, in real time, throughout human body.

Community. To help accelerate imaging technology development and dissemination, and expand global access to imaging technologies and expertise, we are supporting key individuals and organizations that act as critical nodes of dissemination and standardization

Analysis. We fund and build image analysis tools like napari, an interactive, multi-dimensional image viewer for Python, and fund Imaging Software Fellows

We are also preparing to launch the Institute for Advanced Biological Imaging to push forward revolutionary new imaging technologies through high-risk, high-reward projects.

The Imaging Program is seeking a Science Program Manager to join our team. • Conduct landscape research to identify challenges and opportunities in advancing bioimaging globally, and write reports on the findings for internal and external audience
  • Support the grant-making process for current and future programs, including the strategy development, process, review, selection of the awardees, and relationship management.

You have

  • PhD degree or equivalent experience in biological imaging, medical imaging or similar field
