ABOUT THE JOB As one of our brand designers, you’ll get to help design the future of how the world perceives and interacts with New Story.

You’ll work on projects with every team, ranging from sales assets to event design to delightful donor gifts and experiences. Reporting to our Lead Brand Designer, you will work within our small but mighty brand team to ensure all design is both empowering and impactful, bringing New Story’s brand and mission to life through your work. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO - Work within our brand team to craft the New Story narrative through brand, publication, UX/UI, data & information, event & experience design from brainstorm to execution.  - Work directly with our Lead Brand Designer, to craft, manage, and level up the many arms of New Story’s brand hierarchy: 3 donor programs, 2 product innovations, 1 venture capital fund, plus our overall New Story brand.   - Design a wide variety of work: from crafting elaborate gift experiences for our highest donors to organizing user-friendly multilingual instruction manuals for our government and nonprofit partners. Every week looks different! - Work with our growth, tech, and operations teams to understand their requirements, identify their needs, and align on the outcomes they need to succeed. - Create systems, tools, and templates to empower every team member to communicate New Story at its best. 

WHO YOU ARE - You have 2+ years of design experience in an agency or in-house setting.  - You have an online portfolio of work demonstrating a wide variety of projects (Behance or Dribble page, personal website link, etc.). - You have strong typography, layout, information architecture, and data visualization skills. - You’re comfortable working in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. (WebFlow, Wordpress, Figma, and Hubspot are a plus.) - You have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with a creative team from brainstorm to execution.

NICE-TO-HAVES - Spanish speaking & writing skills - Photography & Lightroom skills - Video / motion graphics - Illustration - Experience in social media & email marketing - Knowledge of the content creation / influencer space
