ABOUT THE VENTURE

At Hyphen, we envision a future where everyone is equipped with the skillset, inspiration and community support to make their unique dent in the world. Together with our founder Raphael and a growing, determined team, we are committed to building a cohort-based learning platform enabling lifelong learning and development at work. 


We are kicking it off with a graduate program with which early career professionals find impactful work in start-ups, get up-skilled next to working full-time while joining a global community of like-minded peers - but this is only the beginning.


We are fortunate to partner with some of the best people in the space, are backed by world-class investors and have raised a substantial seed round from one of Europe’s top VC’s.


Now we are looking for a Co-Founder & CPO (f/m/x) to help us enable 1 million young professionals to learn the skills to succeed in the future of work and find their dream jobs by 2030.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Co-Founder & CPO (f/m/x) role is all about defining the strategic direction of Hyphen together with Raphael, being the face to our investors and partners as well as owning the foundation and development of our product. 


As our very first product leader and second co-owner, you are an integral part of our ambitious mission and start with defining the product strategy and building your own team. Your role comes with lots of opportunities to learn and to get your hands dirty within a diverse & inclusive environment which you will actively shape.

  • Own the product and define the development, strategy and roadmap of our lifelong learning platform.
  • Shape and prioritize the development of new features and write user stories for our platform. At the moment, our platform runs on no-code tools such as Bubble and Airtable but we plan on moving to develop our own bespoke software in Q3/2022.
  • Build up, manage, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and Researchers and coordinate with contractors/freelancers in the short run.
  • Support the team with hands-on work, especially in the beginning stages (i.e. drafting emails, setting up tools, conducting user research, implementing the platform on no-code tools etc.). As the business grows, the amount of hands-on work decreases.
  • Closely plan and coordinate product launches with Marketing/Community Management, Growth, Operations and Education.

WHO ARE YOU

We know - sometimes, you can't tick every box. We would still love to hear from you if you think you're a good fit!


  • Outstanding track record in digital product management or project management roles, experience with education-related products is a huge plus
  • Comfortable with high degrees of ambiguity and rapid growth; perhaps you’ve been a founder yourself or have early-stage start-up experience
  • Strong ability to switch between strategic and operational work paired with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Exceptional understanding of agile product management processes, consumer needs and expertise in developing state-of-the-art user interfaces
  • Experience in hiring, managing, and developing cross-functional teams (design, research, product, engineering)
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A real passion for Hyphen's mission to enable 1 million young professionals by 2030
  • (Ideally) based in London or Berlin - we’re remote by definition but aim to build hubs in London and Berlin that our future team members should join
