Technical Sourcer at Monzo

We’re looking for two Technical Sourcers to join our hiring team here at Monzo. The hiring team consists of a passionate group of people looking to grow Monzo with exceptional talent to help us achieve our mission to Make Money Work For Everyone. You'll partner with one recruiter and predominantly work on our engineering leadership positions, but may also support on some other hard-to-fill technical roles.

In this role you’ll be:

• Sourcing and speaking the best talent in the industry, being creative on how to reach them and keeping them engaged throughout the interview process by delivering an amazing candidate experience
• Collaborating with recruiters and senior engineering leaders to understand the requirements of each role and what exceptional talent looks like in that space
• Building up ongoing relationships with great candidates to create a talent pool for future roles that might come up as our teams grow
• Tracking our progress to understand if we are investing time in the right areas and if our efforts are leading to the right outcomes. This could include setting up reporting and conducting research to share with the team on metrics such as conversion rates, candidate quality, interviewer calibration and interview outcomes
• Spending time with our engineering teams to understand their diversity representation and identifying gaps within those teams. Proactively building up effective sourcing strategies to target underrepresented groups to ensure we our staying true to our commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Ultimately, your work will drive and have a direct impact on building diverse and high performing teams that will be crucial for Monzo’s success.

If you enjoy deep-diving into one area, this role will be a great way to hone those skills. We’re looking for someone that stays persistent when it comes to solving problems, even if the solution isn’t always straightforward or quick to come by. You are curious when it comes to learning new areas and how they fit into the bigger picture. 

You’re data driven in the way you work, tracking conversion rates across different sources, messages, recruiting pipelines etc to understand the effect of your past efforts and how to iterate on them to get the best outcomes. 

You like structure and having things organised.

Even if you’re not a naturally organised person, you’ve found ways to make it work for you. If it’s to do lists or calendar/slack reminders, you are a pro at it and able to keep on top of various different tasks and projects. 

Logistics

• This role is based in our London office but we can offer a flexible remote working split
• We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, at times that suit you and your team.
• If you prefer to work part-time, we'll make this happen whenever we can - whether this is to help you meet other commitments or strike a great work-life balance.
• We offer stock options so you can feel the reward in helping Monzo be successful!
• The application process consists of a 30min phone call with someone from the team, followed by 2-3 video interviews. We promise not to ask you any brain teasers or trick questions.
• Salary range for this role is up to £50k depending on experience and performance in the interviews. We also offer additional stock options.
