Our remote Senior Back-End Software Engineers use their Magento 2 expertise to build and maintain interactive eCommerce stores for our clients. They work with our Project Managers and other engineers to deliver high-quality websites. They bring their platform expertise to solve challenging client needs on a daily basis.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Writing clean, reliable, adequately tested code.

  • Properly submits pull requests with code fulfilling a ticket's acceptance criteria.

  • Communicate any blockers, progress, and statuses regarding a ticket.

  • Uses best practices regarding accessibility, site performance, & SEO.

  • Uses HTML, CSS, JS to create Magento elements matching client-approved designs and functionality.

  • Creates test cases for completed work to pass on to QA.

We’re looking for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, embrace process and organization, are detail-oriented, and enjoy using data to inform their decision-making. A great Sr. Software Engineer candidate will bring a blend of the following technical experience and professional skills to this opportunity:

Relevant Experience: 

  • 2+ years of experience working with Magento 2

  • 4+ years of experience with PHP

  • 4+ years of experience with SQL

  • 2+ years of experience in API integrations.

  • Familiarity with using Git to create branches and push new code changes and can create pull requests for the technical lead to code review.

  • Demonstrates a proven track record of following through with deadlines and keeping on top of new tasks.

  • Ability to develop for a myriad of devices with differing screen sizes and resolutions.

  • Understanding of web standards and accessibility, and experience building stateful web applications with client-side technologies.

  • (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) or a similar set of applications.
