Role Overview
Images and Assets Assistants are members of the Content & Editorial function within in the mathematics department. They work with curriculum writers to submit requests for images required for creating curricular products.
The Images and Assets Assistant works in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is for detail-oriented individuals who are familiar with image formats for print and digital products, are passionate for high-quality, knowledge-building curriculum, and hold the belief that every child is capable of greatness. While the work is remote and the ideal candidate works well independently, this position requires collaboration and necessitates strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Submits requests for new images, ensuring that images fulfill the intentions of the curriculum writers and adhere to style specifications.
- Requests permissions for images from external sources.
- Maintains an accurate record of images used within curricular products.
- Acts as a liaison between Eureka Math and other departments regarding images.
- Ensures all work aligns to the baseline specification document, at times performing light editorial and formatting tasks.
- Adheres to internal guidelines and trainings for creating accessible images.
- Collaborates with team members to ensure the highest quality work product.
- Adheres to project schedules and associated deadlines.
- Uses guiding documents (e.g., Eureka Math Style Guide) and systems (e.g., SmartSheet)
- Receives and implements feedback on work products.
- Stay current on Eureka Math products and organizational initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Familiar with common image formats for print and digital products
- Clear, effective, and timely communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
- Meticulous eye for detail while keeping a global perspective
- Proficient with technology and comfortable learning new applications
- Adapts easily to changes in priority, assignment, or project guidelines
- Organized, self-directed, and works efficiently with minimal supervision
- Familiar with PK–12 education materials
- 1–2 years of experience in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
