Due to the rapid growth we are recruiting for experienced Business Development Director to be responsible for new business sales across the board. The expansion of Rackspace’s business is a major strategic priority for Rackspace and as a result, this role is a key hire and will be high profile across our sales organization. Focus will be on business acceleration and driving new logo opportunities in our Enterprise space Responsibilities: ·Drives the full sales cycle to win and grow strategic accounts for Rackspace. ·Utilizes industry and strategic knowledge to execute large, complex, strategic, business changing deals. ·Penetrates and wins customer while also making them a net promoter. ·Leverages an established network of references to win credibility. ·Works independently, with guidance in complex situations only. ·Leads some projects or programs within a function. ·May act as a team leader to coordinate activities of other personnel. Requirement: ·Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or a related field required. ·12+ years successful B2B sales experience, including a 10+ years of experience in technology or a related industry ·8+ years of B2B sales experience in Managed or Cloud Hosting industry. ·Successful acquisition sales experience, incorporating value/service selling in business or marketing required. ·Experience in all facets of sales: outbound lead generation, follow up, pipeline management, training, and closing skills required. ·Documented success in closing revenue generating business and successful history working under a quota required. ·Previous strategic selling experience required.
