The Magnet REVIEW team is located throughout the globe and is focused on exposing digital evidence to non-technical folks within an investigative department.  This software allows investigators to collaborate and build a case around the collected digital evidence.  The team includes a unique combination of technical abilities to cover both cloud and on-premise installations, handle millions of evidence hits and display valuable insights to investigators.

 

This growing group is looking for an Engineering Manager – Review On-prem & Fedramp Software Development who’s focused on application delivery, customer success and career development.  We partner tightly with our Professional Services team working closely with customers.

 

The Engineering team is focused on producing software that solves the most important problems facing digital forensics professionals today. Our algorithms make sense of data that is often hidden, corrupted, or incomplete. We write fast code and build intuitive UIs because we know that minutes can make a difference in national terrorism cases and life-or-death situations. We are a community of smart, passionate, humble people who recognize that solving the industry’s toughest problems requires constant collaboration, continuous learning, and frequent doses of humour.

What You Will Accomplish:
  • Ensure goals for REVIEW on-prem are being met effectively
  • Ensure goals for REVIEW fedRAMP certification are being met effectively
  • Ensure smooth coordination between the on-prem team and other review teams.
  • Lead a team of developers and testers including career growth, coaching and goal setting
  • Ensure customer success
  • Provide mentorship to employees to achieve goals and maximize their potential
  • Responsible for working with team members to coordinate with all other groups involved in product development
  • Communicate with different teams internal and/or external to collaborate on the projects
  • Utilizes knowledge of technical and business drivers to define quality solutions that meet the needs of customers


What We Are Looking For:
  • We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”.  It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of. We want to be part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us.  

There are a couple of must haves, but we will keep that list short: 

  • 3+ years of experience in leading a small to medium sized production software development initiatives.
  • 5+ years of experience of related software engineering or engineering management experience
  • Excellent relational skills and leadership abilities
  • Strong judgment, prioritization, and decision-making abilities

In addition, may have some of the following skills and experiences:

  • Confirmed presentation skills and team communication
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Comfort in cloud management platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Partnership & collaboration skills to work across organizations and lead cross-functional teams
  • Analytical skills to develop quick yet sound solutions to resolve complex issues
  • Good conflict resolution and negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated ability to have FUN in the workplace
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience

Compensation & Benefits
  • The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).

Compensation Range:
  • MIN: $152,000 - MID: $190,000 - MAX: $228,000 Currency: USD
