We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Technical Program Manager to partner with the DevOps division to drive operational excellence and ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives.

The DevOps team builds automation, adds infrastructure reliability, and enables our engineering team to use new technologies in a scalable, reliable, and highly available way, with the goal of accelerating product and feature development. Braze operates at a massive scale, collecting hundreds of billions of data points each month and sending billions of messages to end-users daily. Our product’s ability to perform fast and reliably at scale is an essential part of Braze’s value proposition, and the products and services that the DevOps team builds are a key element of our success.

As the first Program Manager to support this division, you will bring a strong Scrum Master experience and deep technical expertise to lead agile ceremonies and drive the coordination and execution of complex and large-scale infrastructure projects.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Program Leadership & Roadmap Execution:

  • Partner with DevOps Engineering Managers and Leadership team to help build effective product planning mechanisms, including an internal roadmap framework that enhances the DevOps division's planning efficiency and its interface with product teams.
  • Execute roadmaps and manage complex projects with DevOps engineering teams focused on building Compute and Data Platforms, Automation, Edge Services, and Reliability tooling. Create a comprehensive project plan and drive successful execution by coordinating within/across Infrastructure teams and, when necessary, with product teams on deliverables and timelines. Ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Lead agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Standups, Retrospectives, and Backlog grooming, to keep teams aligned and focused on delivering high-quality results. Also, lead program-level meetings to align on the overall project schedule and upcoming milestones. 

Process Optimization:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, templates, and best practices for DevOps.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of processes, and recommend and drive improvements to streamline or automate them. 
  • Collaborate with other Program Managers on PMO on broader process improvements across the entire Product Design and Engineering organization where applicable. 

Cross-Team Collaboration and Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for DevOps programs, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed of progress, risks, and issues.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between the DevOps division, other product teams’ PMs and EMs, and when necessary, with GTM teams. 
  • Provide regular updates on program status, milestones, and key metrics to leadership and other stakeholders to drive transparency and accountability.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management within a DevOps team in a high-growth B2B technology company, with a proven track record of managing and delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure programs across multiple engineering teams.  
  • Extensive experience as a Scrum Master with a proven ability to lead agile ceremonies effectively. 
  • Strong POV for tooling (like Jira) to streamline status tracking and reporting. 
  • Deep understanding of DevOps practices and tools. 
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • A self-starter with a sense of urgency with a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong analytical and system-thinking abilities
  • Strong written, verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with vendor management is a plus.

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $180,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $135,000 and $205,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
