Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute documentation project plans independently, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and driving the vision of how documentation contributes to business success.
  • Write clear, accurate, and engaging content for engineering audiences, explaining complex concepts such as architecting multiple cloud-based services, going beyond simply fleshing out notes from engineers or product managers.

  • Demonstrate strong product, project, and program management skills, taking ownership of documentation initiatives and driving them to completion.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a technical writer, with a strong preference for experience in documenting SaaS products and APIs.
  • Strong technical background, with the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to developer audiences, potentially even possessing the skills to work as a junior/mid-level engineer.
  • Exceptional writing skills with minimal need for editing, and a deep understanding of technical writing best practices, style guidelines, and nuances (e.g., comma usage, capitalization in headings, tense differences in various document types).
  • Proficiency in Markdown, HTML/CSS, and documentation tools such as Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced tech company environment is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, ambitious, and results-driven mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work consistently and efficiently.
