Valendo Health is a value-based care company created by Redesign Health in 2023, and is focused on partnering with endocrinology practices to help grow their businesses, improve care for patients with diabetes, and shape the future of diabetes care through value-based care contracts. Valendo’s founding team is made up of serial healthcare entrepreneurs with decades of experience in value based specialty care and a passion for improving care for people with diabetes.  We deliver the Valendo Health Value Based Endocrinology Program in three phases: 

  1. Implement virtual care visits and remote monitoring for patients with diabetes

  2. Centralize and streamline practice operations

  3. Develop and manage value-based care contracts

About the Job

As the VP of Practice Operations, you will share our passion for improving healthcare and play a key role in the effort to implement virtual care services within our initial endocrinology practice customers, in collaboration with Cecelia Health, our virtual care partner. In addition, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities and processes for improving, streamlining and scaling practice operations. This role will also be involved in the care and risk management activities associated with succeeding in value-based care contracts.  

You will oversee provider partnerships, establishing operational significance of our virtual care services and instituting operational workflows that help to achieve our goal of providing a world class patient experience and an improvement in clinical outcomes.

You will report to and work with the stealth venture’s CEO. This position can be fully remote within the United States, but will require regular travel to practice partners around the country and to Valendo Health’s headquarters in Boston.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and create an operational workflow designed to integrate virtual care services into practice operations
  • Oversee the daily operations of our program across multiple endocrinology practices, ensuring smooth functioning and high-quality patient care
  • Establish continuous feedback loops with the clinical team; work with the care team to address any bottlenecks and document best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness as we scale
  • Collaborate with physicians, healthcare teams, and external partners to enhance service delivery and drive practice growth
  • Identify and execute opportunities for Valendo Health to develop centralized, value-added management services as part of the company’s Phase 2 offering
  • Proactively identify opportunities through new practice partnership, provider recruiting, and new product development opportunities

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of medical practice management and leadership experience
  • Significant operational experience with progressive leadership responsibilities and an entrepreneurial orientation
  • Practice management experience, preferably in endocrinology or similar type of medical specialty
  • Experience building and managing operational teams and outside business partners to deliver products or services that impact patient outcomes
  • Experience with financial management, data analysis, and healthcare technology tools
  • Experience implementing and billing for telehealth and/or care management services such as CCM, PCM, RPM, CGM, DSMT, MNT etc. is preferred
  • Tech-enabled and telehealth experience is preferred
  • Value-based care experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred

Additional Information

Full-time base salary range of $145,000 - $180,000 plus equity.
