Q Bio’s clinical digital twin platform, Gemini, is the first to capture and monitor comprehensive baseline patient health in a scalable virtual model. The Gemini Dashboard highlights the most important chemical and anatomical changes in an individual weighted by an individual’s lifestyle, genetic and medical history, that can be securely shared with physicians and specialists all over the world.

Gemini is powered by the fastest, most accessible, whole body scanner developed: the Mark I. Self-driving and optimized for primary care, the Mark I can complete a whole-body scan in 15 minutes or less in an open space, without radiation, breath holds, or claustrophobia. Patient comfort is maximized with the option to sit, stand, or lie down, and real-time telemetry is displayed throughout.

As Senior Software Engineer on User Apps, you will be responsible for building our next generation consumer facing web applications, and take charge of improving the design system, component library and all frontend-related tooling. You’ll be working directly with our scanner and Digital Twin platform, producing APIs and services that visualize 3D human body and biomarkers from the genome and biological systems data to enhance patient and developer experiences.

• Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing full-stack commercial web applications
• Expert in Javascript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, and modern web frameworks (React, Angular, Ember, etc) 
• Detail-oriented and good Craftsmanship. Understands usability and accessibility principles. Can translate design into functional, user-friendly and high performing interfaces
• Proficient in Python and/or other OOP languages, and RESTful API frameworks such as Flask/DjangoFamiliar with cloud-native applications, microservices, event sourcing, relational and non-relational databases (mysql, redis, etc.)
• Familiar with building and deploying applications on cloud services like AWS, Azure, GCP
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts

• Prior experience in building complex, data-intensive web applications, using modern web frontend and backend technologies 
• Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3, three.js
• Experience with design systems, building UI component libraries

In the San Francisco Bay Area, the standard pay range for this role is $160,000-$190,000 annualized. This pay range is for the San Francisco Bay Area and is not applicable to locations outside of this location or for remote roles. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer significant equity and an employee-friendly stock option plan. Employees will also be eligible to participate in benefits plans available to other similarly situated employees subject to any eligibility requirements imposed by such plans.
