Location: Remote. This role requires occasional travel (~15%) to project sites. We have offices in Playa Vista, CA and Bridgewater, NJ. Pilot plant located in Bakersfield, CA.

Role
Avnos’ Project Engineer, Capital Projects will have meaningful and industry-sculpting impact, be collaborating with expert colleagues in this nascent and growing field in service of giving the world the best shot at gigaton scale of carbon dioxide removal. You will drive engineering problem-solving, deliverables, and milestones and manage project plans, cost controls, and execution schedule. Your work will result in completed projects – on time and on budget – and feed future project optimizations.
You will:
- Lead cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in order to achieve project goals; setting clear objectives for assigned project team including scope, schedule, productivity, quality, timeliness of deliverables.
- Develop procedures and standards for each project that adhere to basis of design (client requirements) and applicable codes and regulations.
- Drive engineering deliverables through complex workflows, integrating internal and external input, and prepare procurement packages to support end-to-end planning, purchase, acceptance, and tracking to meet construction milestones.
- Develop project cost and schedule tracking and reporting methodologies that span engineering, procurement, and construction support phases.
You have:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 8+ years project management experience in heavy industry, with at least 5 years of which focused on 3rd party engineering, procurement, and construction management.
- A detail-oriented work ethic and the ability to: work independently and self-organize, provide scheduling inputs, and achieve target deadlines.
- Resourcefulness in executing multi-disciplinary projects, meeting client requirements on time and with optimized costs.

Salary: For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $144,000-$205,500. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The range listed above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified. In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity and benefits. The final compensation package will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills and experience.
