Product Designer Ingestion at Braze

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Are you a critical thinker? Are you willing to challenge ideas and receive feedback? Are you comfortable with ambiguity? We are seeking a fearless and passionate Product Designer to join Braze’s Ingestion team. 

Product Designers at Braze have the freedom to work on all aspects of the user experience, leveraging strengths in at least one area — wireframing, prototyping, visual design, motion design. 

You’ll be primarily working on defining and designing high impact features as well as refining the user experience for projects related to improving how customers send information to Braze. Through research you’ll identify and prioritize problems to solve and design experiences to offer best-in-class marketing tools. 

You will be expected to collaborate closely with product managers, UX researchers, product analysts, technical writers, engineers, and your fellow product designers to deliver solutions that make Braze an easier and more enjoyable product to work with. You will need to understand our users and our business, and you will be expected to be an effective verbal and visual communicator.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 3+  years of product design experience working on a digital product with previous design system experience
  • A collaborative designer; you seek the truth with partners across engineering, product management, UX research, product analysts, product marketing, and technical writers
  • An evidence-based decision maker; you identify problems to solve that add value via user research
  • A framer for creative solutions; you contextualize the problem space in people’s journeys
  • At ease with ambiguity; you learn through experimentation to find clarity
  • A clear communicator; you articulate design decisions, their constraints, trade offs, and risks
  • A dedicated craftsperson; you use your skills of wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design to create a great user experiences
  • A growth-oriented individual contributor; You have a few years under your belt working on complex applications and are focused on expanding your broad proficiency of skills and career
  • A portfolio demonstrating the “why” of design decisions supported by user insights, data, or technical limitations 
  • Bonus:
    • Significant experience with any aspect of lifecycle marketing
    • Experience working on SaaS products both on web and mobile
    • Technical aptitude: Familiarity with data structures, JSON objects, and/or transitioned into design from a technical background
