About This Position

The intern in this role will collaborate with the team and support various aspects of community engagement projects and activities for Intersect Power. The department closely collaborates cross-functionally and at every level throughout the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist the Community Engagement Team with development, documentation, and execution of project specific outreach plans
  • Assist Community Engagement Team with stakeholder relationship management, which could include attending community meetings, public events and local government hearings
  • Assist with the management of relationships, social investment, volunteer events, and community outreach for a portfolio of projects


Qualifications and Skills
  • Seeking a Bachelor’s Degree in public affairs, communications, or similar discipline 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of rural midwestern and southern communities
  • Enthusiasm for engaging with people 
  • Ability to work will with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences

Compensation
  • Undergraduate – $25 USD /hour
  • Graduate- $65 USD/hour
