About the Role & Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the intricacies of the SLED vertical.
    • Ensure alignment of sales objectives with overall company goals.
  • Client Acquisition:
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients within the SLED sector.
    • Lead the sales team in prospecting, presenting solutions, and closing deals to drive revenue growth.
  • Vertical Expertise:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and challenges within the SLED vertical.
    • Leverage in-depth knowledge to position BackpackHealthcare as a leading solution provider.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor a high-performing sales team.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team success in meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Management:
    • Establish, grow, and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers.
    • Present at local and state government events to enhance BackpackHealthcare's presence.
  • Leadership Impact:
    • Drive team performance through ongoing training, development, coaching, recognition, and rewards.
    • Handle financial, budget, and sales reporting activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership, especially within the healthcare or SLED vertical.
  • Strong understanding of the complexities and nuances associated with selling into State, Local, and Education, including the Department of Social Services organizations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience in motivating and driving results from a sales team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
