Utilizing blockchain, SORAMITSU has developed a digital currency for the National Bank of Cambodia, a CBDC Proof-of-Concept with the Bank of the Lao PDR, a closed-loop payment system for the University of Aizu in Japan, an identity verification system prototype for Bank Central Asia in Indonesia, we were finalists in the Monetary Authority of Singapore CBDC Challenge, and are currently participating in Asia-Pacific's first proof-of-concept test of a cross-border, multi-currency security settlement system using distributed ledger technology with the Asian Development Bank. We have also conducted proof-of-concept tests for several major Japanese enterprises, and are active contributors to open source projects, such as Klaytn, South Korea's leading Layer-1 blockchain, KAGOME, the C++ Polkadot Host implementation, the SORA crypto-economic system, the Polkaswap DEX, and the DeFi wallet, Fearless Wallet

We are looking for a technical writer who will help us in creating different types of documentation. As a successful hire, you will help us in authoring and maintaining documentation both for the development team and for our end-users. This includes user guides, API documentation, technical specifications, internal knowledge base, and creating articles together with our support team.

You will be responsible for:

• Сollaborate with product owners, development team and technical support to understand user needs and documentation requirements;
• Work closely with development team to get a clear understanding of how the product works
• Author and maintain internal knowledge base about the product to simplify the onboarding process and to provide better knowledge-sharing inside the team
• Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others, and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing
• Write clear and concise documentation for different audiences, both technical and non-technical:
  - describe IT infrastructure and requirements for our internal needs
  - author user guides for our end-users
  - describe internal business processes (if needed)
  - update and support knowledge base
  - prepare how-to articles, release notes

You need to have:

• At least 3 years of experience working for IT companies
• Experience in writing software documentation (requirements, user guides, etc.), documentation for APIs, SDKs, or other end-user materials
• Strong communication and interpersonal skill
• Attention to detail
• Excellent command of English

This is a remote position. Our distributed team is mostly spread across Europe and Asia. Team meetings are held generally during European working hours, and it is expected that you would adapt if necessary and be available accordingly.
