About this role

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join our Product Management team as a Technical Product Manager. In this role, you'll integrate deeply with our Enterprise Data & Development Teams to lead the development and implementation of enterprise-level communication, data, and reporting products.

This role will be pivotal in leveraging technologies such as Snowflake and Tableau Cloud to deliver scalable, robust, and efficient solutions to our clients so that they can extend the capabilities of our data offering on their own. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to leverage data from a multi-sided platform model to drive new features on the Enterprise level. Our product team serves as the bridge between the business and technology teams, and we thrive on innovation, conceptualization, design, and piloting new capabilities to solve real customer problems. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, product management skills, and customer-facing capabilities.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for stakeholders, driving key business outcomes with real impact on the company roadmap
  • Engage with diverse teams and clients to align Petvisor solutions with real industry problems–overseeing, managing, and developing our data-driven software product 
  • Integrate closely with data and development teams for technical planning and deployment 
  • Manage Agile operations for efficient cross-departmental collaboration
  • Develop clear documentation and processes for product understanding and adoption for internal and external audiences
  • Illustrate business problems and value proposition to technical and executive audiences at all levels of our organization
  • Conduct feedback sessions with customers for pre-development input, then bring that feedback back to an engaged development team eager to solve problems in new ways
  • Validate product use cases and feasibility through demos with internal SMEs, users, and secondary audiences
  • Support Strategic Account Managers with day-to-day product and technical needs–serving as the product evangelist to facilitate inquiries and provide technical support for customers as they adopt new features
  • Collaborate on veterinary industry solutions to enhance data product value
  • Stay updated on competitive technologies for strategic positioning

About You

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Research, or related fields, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Solutions Architect, or Data Contributor
  • Internal and/or external consulting or customer-facing experience
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills coupled with unparalleled follow-up skills
  • Understanding of data analytics stack and workflow, including ETL,  data platform design,  BI,  and analytics tools
  • SQL experience required; high-level understanding of data warehousing, cloud data architecture, and data modeling beneficial
