Graphic Designer at Future of Life Organizations

The Future of Life Institute (FLI) is seeking a skilled and organised graphic designer to assist with the delivery of a range of design materials in a part-time capacity. Your role will be to ensure consistent application of our existing visual identity and style guide.


Workload will likely vary week to week, from 1-8 hours. You should be able to work in a timezone with at least a few hours of overlap with GMT time.

This role will likely involve:
  • Producing podcast thumbnails (biweekly);
  • Producing policy papers (monthly);
  • Producing blog post thumbnails (monthly);
  • Producing multimedia content for socials;
  • Producing business cards, slideshows, and other brand assets;
  • Producing mockups for webpages;


Skills required:
  • Graphic design
  • Adobe Illustrator, InDesign
  • Organisation and punctuality


Nice to have:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop
  • Figma
  • Wordpress, especially with Oxygen Builder and CSS frameworks

It is essential that you have good graphic design skills and a portfolio of work to demonstrate your capabilities. As a bonus, it is helpful if you also have some experience in website design and/or development, especially in Wordpress.


Our design language is neat, professional, and modern. Our audience includes policymakers and industry leaders, so we strive for a high standard of design excellence in our creative output. You will need to uphold this standard with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.


This is a long-term commitment, with a minimum duration of 6 months, ideally longer.

If your application is successful, you will meet with our Website and Design Manager for a videocall to assess your fit for the role. You may also be required to perform one or two small trial tasks, which we can compensate.
