The Senior Manager, Project Finance will lead various project finance transactions and negotiations with banks, equity investors and tax equity investors and will work in a close-knit team to advise on the development and construction activities, asset sales and acquisitions. This role will be responsible for understanding energy financing programs, solar markets and credits for tracking legislative, regulatory and market changes that impact financing opportunities for potential customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the transactional efforts for all projects, including staffing, legal correspondence, financial review, negotiation, diligence, and internal approval processes
  • Review complex financial models which support the analysis of energy or infrastructure assets or companies in those sectors
  • Lead financial diligence efforts for select transactions, including the coordination of financial modeling, legal, tax, technical and insurance and manage external transaction advisors for projects under responsibility
  • Facilitate the coordination between the various internal teams and departments working on and supporting the delivery of turnkey development projects, including design, construction, finance, legal and internal approvals
  • Perform strategic and quantitative analyses, conduct due diligence and determine appropriate company and/or project valuation
  • Independently execute primary and secondary research on markets, industries, and companies
  • Execute transactions and lead due diligence efforts for projects under responsibility
  • Build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders and infrastructure funds globally

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience with a focus on project finance transactions and negotiations
  • Experience working in the renewable energy sector required
  • Experience with Distributed Generation project financing preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting topics and tax structures
  • Successful experience managing multiple projects and a team of transaction professionals simultaneously
  • Ability to take initiative, support strategic priorities, take ownership of assigned projects and independently drive for results
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, prepare high quality reports and presentations
  • Able clearly articulate and communicate complex financial information and issues to a varied internal and external audience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work on teams to support energy, infrastructure or real estate projects
  • Exceptional organizational skills
