Corporate Purchasing and Inventory Manager at Handle
Hours: Part-time (25-30 hours per week)
Compensation: $20-25 per hour
About Handle: Handle operates innovative "dark store" convenience stores located adjacent to college campuses. We specialize in delivering a wide range of c-store products within 15 minutes, sourcing our inventory from various distributors nationwide to supply our six retail locations.
Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Corporate Purchasing and Inventory Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent university graduate with a passion for retail and a knack for efficient inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory using the "Fishbowl Inventory" system.
- Regularly purchase inventory from over 40 suppliers to replenish our stores across the country.
- Curate product catalogs for new markets we enter.
- Identify and acquire new products that align with customer preferences.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting data.
- Review and respond to customer product requests, introducing new products weekly.
- Collaborate with operations managers for seamless delivery coordination and inventory support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a U.S. university (recent graduates preferred).
- Experience in retail, particularly in a purchasing or inventory management role.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, especially Fishbowl Inventory.
- Strong understanding of the college demographic and their purchasing preferences.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
